From the recording OLD BLOOD RISING
A dark Slavic and Nordic folk journey inspired by Perun, the ancient god of thunder and storms. Heavy tribal drums, tagelharpa, dark fiddle, haunting female vocals and deep male folk vocals build a cinematic ritual atmosphere filled with thunder, rain and old pagan power. An epic folk track where the storm awakens what has long been sleeping.
Lyrics
Black clouds gather above the plain
The old oak drinks the silver rain
A sleeping fire hides in the sky
One flash will make the shadows fly
Roots remember
Stone will hear
The storm is rising
The flame is near
Thunder rolls across the tree
Lightning wakes the ancient sea
Rain will fall on broken ground
Old gods rise without a sound
Through the storm
The fire remains
Perun wakes again
I saw the fire behind the rain
I heard the old world call my name
The branches bent, the river shone
The storm remembered every stone
The crown will fall
The lie will burn
When thunder calls
The old return
Thunder rolls across the tree
Lightning wakes the ancient sea
Rain will fall on broken ground
Old gods rise without a sound
Through the storm
The fire remains
Perun wakes again
