From the recording OLD BLOOD RISING

A mystical Slavic-Nordic folk journey inspired by Mokosh and the ancient spirit of the northern wilderness. Flowing lute, emotional violins, deep folk drums and cinematic cello accompany warm male bard vocals and delicate female harmonies through frozen rivers, moonlit forests and forgotten paths. Atmospheric folk music filled with Slavic mythology, nature, memory and the timeless voice of the old gods.

Lyrics

Cold rain falling through the trees
Northern rivers dark as dreams
Silver branches in the storm
Old gods calling spirits home

Ancient pathways through the night
Frozen stars and fading light
Every fire every flame
Still remembers every name

Moonlight shining through the rain
Soft winds calling once again
Hidden rivers dark and slow
Far beneath the ice and snow

Every shadow every stone
Keeps the memory of old souls
Still the forest softly breathes
Winter singing through the trees

Old roads leading through the dark
Guided only by the stars
Ancient rivers always flow
Far beneath the ice and snow

Silver branches move above
Guarding every fading spark
Cold winds singing through the rain
Calling softly once again

Mokosh whisper through the rain
Call the lost ones home again
Silver branches moonlit sky
Ancient rivers never die

Old earth breathing soft and low
Under moon and under snow
Still the northern forests stand
Long beyond the fall of man
